Similar to the recreational and cultural events, education in western Nevada County offers a multitude of choices. There are more than 30 public schools serving the area, including a variety of charter schools. In recent years, the county’s public schools have received national recognition for excellence and earned some of the highest marks in statewide standardized testing.
Sierra Community College Nevada County campus also provides many educational opportunities for all residents, from high schools students to seniors’ enrichment classes.
